Welcome!
to my new blog, entitled DCBK. Before you begin reading and worshipping my genius, a few words as to what this blog is about. (But who needs insignificant information like that, right?)
The title isn't that clever. I currently work for a conservative magazine in Washington DC. I am born and raised in Brooklyn which means that yes, there will be an inevitable post/complaint about how terrible the pizza/bagels/italian food is in DC compared to BK.
Anyway, prior to this position in DC, I worked on campaigns in Brooklyn and was involved (and still am) involved in the NYS Conservative Party. I am also the treasurer of the Brooklyn South Conservative Club, the brain child of my boyfriend's and mine (my and my boyfriend's? Help me, Sister Joan!). I go back and forth via bus or Amtrak (defying logic since 1971) as often as I can in order to remain relevant in Brooklyn as well as DC.
I often compare the two political worlds in my mind, so I thought it would make an interesting blog for political junkies... or bored people. (Is there really any difference?)
If any of this sounds interesting, or slightly more entertaining that watching that episode of How I Met Your Mother where Ted calls Lily a bitch for the upteenth time (which is totally not what I'm doing right now, by the way).
